Enrolled in UP school. Family income ≤ ₹2.5 lakh (SC/ST) and ≤ ₹2.0 lakh (General/OBC/Minority). For Dehaati/Aswachh Pesha: No income limit.

Post-Matric Intermediate

Class 11–12

Enrolled in UP recognized institute. Family income ceiling: ≤ ₹2.5 lakh (SC/ST) and ≤ ₹2.0 lakh (General/OBC/Minority).

Post-Matric Other Than Inter

Graduate, PG, Diploma, Certificate Courses

Enrolled in UP recognized institute. Family income ceiling: ≤ ₹2.5 lakh (SC/ST) and ≤ ₹2.0 lakh (General/OBC/Minority).

Post-Matric Other Than Inter (Professional Courses)

Engineering, Medicine, PhD, PG Professional Courses

Enrolled in UP recognized institute. Family income ceiling: ≤ ₹2.5 lakh (SC/ST) and ≤ ₹2.0 lakh (General/OBC/Minority).

Post-Matric Outside State

UP domiciled students studying outside UP in recognized institutions

Only SC / ST / General category students of Uttar Pradesh are eligible. Family income ceiling: ≤ ₹2.5 lakh (SC/ST) and ≤ ₹2.0 lakh (General).

Scholarship benefits as per enrolled group/course type: Group I – ₹550/₹1200, Group II – ₹530/₹820, Group III – ₹300/₹570, Group IV – ₹230/₹380

How To Apply Online UP Scholarship Schemes (Pre-Matric & Post-Matric) 2025–26 Online Form

• Visit scholarship.up.gov.in.
• Complete One-Time Registration (OTR) → Aadhaar e-KYC + mobile verification → generate OTR ID.

(OTR is mandatory for all students. Aadhaar e-KYC and mobile verification required to generate OTR ID Which is used for subsequent scholarship registrations.)

• Login with OTR ID and select scheme (Pre-Matric / Post-Matric Inter / Post-Matric Other / Post-Matric Outside State).
• Fill in personal, academic, category, domicile, bank account (Aadhaar-linked), and institutional details.
• Upload required documents: Aadhaar, income certificate, caste certificate, previous year mark sheet, fee receipt, passport photo.
• Submit application online and obtain Application Number.
• Print application form and submit hard copy with documents to institution before last date.
• Institution forwards application to district welfare officer for verification.
• Track application/payment status on portal.

Mode Of Disbursement: Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to student’s bank account after verification and sanction; portal shows status. Funds are transferred semester-wise or as per scheme frequency.

Stages Of Scholarship:

• Online application and submission on portal.
• Biometric Authentication & Verification from Institute and forwarding.
• Computerized Scrutiny
• Verification from District Scholarship Committee.
• State government approval.
• Scholarship amount credited via DBT to Aadhaar-linked bank account. 

Documents Required (typical list):

• Aadhaar / Aadhaar-linked mobile number (or alternate ID where allowed).
• Bank passbook / cancelled cheque (beneficiary account) for DBT.
• Income certificate (as per scheme; format & issuing authority specified).
• Caste certificate (if applying under SC/ST/OBC/Reserved categories).
• Bonafide / enrollment certificate from school/college.
• Previous year mark sheet / pass certificate (as required).
• Passport-size photograph & signature (digital upload specs on portal).

Important Notes / Common Pitfalls:

• Income ceiling and document formats are strict — wrong certs cause rejection.
• Domicile: Applicant must be a resident (domicile) of Uttar Pradesh 

• Interested students who wish to apply for UP Scholarships Pre-Matric & Post-Matric 2025-26 must complete the One-Time Registration (OTR) and apply online through scholarship.up.gov.in from 02 July 2025 to 30 October 2025 for Pre-Matric and Post-Matric, and from 10 July 2025 to 20 December 2025 for Post-Matric Other Than Intermediate.
• Ensure the application is completed and forwarded by the institution before the deadlines to receive scholarship disbursement.
