UPSC New OTR Online Form 2025 How To Register New UPSC OTR Portal Online Registration – Official Steps (Based on Official UPSC Notification) Instructions for creating your account Step 1: Go to the UPSC Online Portal - Visit: https://upsconline.nic.in
- You will see four main sections (cards):
- Create Account and Login
- Universal Registration
- Common Application Form (CAF)
- Examinations
Step 2: Create Your UPSC Account - Click on “Create Account” from either: – The navigation bar OR – The first card on the homepage
- Read instructions, tick declaration box, click “Proceed for Account Creation”
Required: - Active Email ID (OTP verification)
- Active Mobile Number (OTP verification)
- Create password (follow instructions shown)
Note: A confirmation email and SMS will be sent after successful registration. Step 3: Login to the Portal Login using any of the following: - Mobile Number + OTP
- URN (Universal Registration Number) + Password
- Email ID + Password
Step 4: Complete Universal Registration (UR) – - Go to Universal Registration (from second card or navigation bar)
- Click “Proceed for Universal Registration”
Fill 3 Mandatory Profiles in order: - Identity Profile: Name, DOB, Gender, Parents’ details
- Matriculation Profile: Class 10 Board, Roll No., Year
- Aadhaar/Photo ID Profile: Aadhaar or valid ID document
Important: - You can edit these until URN is generated.
- Click “Lock and Submit” to generate URN (no edits allowed after this).
Step 5: Fill the Common Application Form (CAF) CAF has 10 modules: - Personal Profile
- Parents’ Profile
- Social Category Profile
- Disability Profile
- Address Details
- Educational Profile
- Employment Experience
- Achievements
- Previous UPSC Exams
- Photo & Signature Upload
Step 6: Lock the CAF - Review all entries
- Tick consent box
- Click “Lock CAF” (no edits allowed for that exam once locked)
UPSC OTR On New Portal is Completed Here How to Apply for Specific Examination On New Portal Step 1: Choose Exam To Fill Application Form - Go to New OTR Portal
- Go to “Examinations” section or 4th card
- Click “Apply” next to your desired exam
- The system loads a dynamic Exam-Specific Form using UR + CAF
Step 2: Fill Exam-Specific Form - Fill required fields
- Pay fee (via Card, Net Banking, UPI)
- Choose Exam Centre
- Final Review & Submit
